Kenosia Corporation Reveals New Product Launch and Taste of Things to Come at 2009 Demand Analytics Conference
Framingham, MA – October 8, 2009 – Kenosia
Corporation announced the release of the newest version
of their flagship product, DataAlchemy, at the 2009 DataAlchemy Demand
Analytics Conference. The release of DataAlchemy 6.2 marks
a new phase in the development of the Kenosia product line.
Also announced at the conference was the company’s new
name and image. While many companies can change a name, Kenosia
did more than that by creating a new vision for the company
that required changing both internal operations and customer
interaction. This new vision comes with a new image – alqemyiQ.
The most important feature of the new release is the Data Import
Wizard that provides a simple and intuitive interface for importing
any tabular-style data file, including RetailLink and RiteInsight,
into DataAlchemy. Analysts may specify which fields in the data
file are to be imported, and which dimension they should be associated
with. Aliasing and segmentation based on data fields may also
be defined as part of the import process. The data file may be
an Access database, Excel workbook, or a delimited text file.
This intelligent tool makes automatic suggestions and "learns" as
you use it, reducing analyst workload. DataAlchemy 6.2 training
was presented this afternoon by Glenn Geho, COO of alqemyiQ .
Conference attendees received bags with alqemyiQ merchandise
and a prerelease copy of CEO Ron Bienvenu’s book, The
Fourth Shock . The conference speakers gave
presentations on new technology in demand analytics, the consumer
goods industry and how to incorporate Internet, social media
and mobility into CPG business plans. Today’s sessions
also included the announcement of a new initiative that will
help the industry evolve. This initiative revolves around the
creation of an independent body that will define and promote
the implementation of classifying consumers goods demand data. The
recognition of standards for data classification and formatting
will promote supply chain efficiencies. The new Web site for alqemyiQ is
scheduled to launch on November 1 st, 2009. Until then, anyone
who was not able to attend this year’s conference is invited
to visit the Kenosia Web site to learn more about the company
or visit @DataAlchemy on Twitter.
