About C. Enrique Ortiz
Enrique is a long-time technologist, blogger and writer.
He is currently responsible for a number of mobile network operator
products in the areas of mobile broadband, device management
and customer care at Motive, which was recently acquired by Alcatel-Lucent.
Prior to Alcatel-Lucent, Enrique was CTO at eZee, inc., an innovator
of mobile, interactive advertising. Enrique is also owner of
Artemis Wireless Werks, a provider of Mobile Strategy and Software
Design and Development services that has helped dozens of companies
deliver their mobility strategies and products. He has also worked
in various engineering and management positions at eZee, inc.,
IBM, Pervasive Software, AGEA, and Aligo, in areas that include
avionics software (Space Shuttle OS), embedded, robotics and
image processing, multimedia streaming, large financial systems,
and end-to-end mobility systems.
Enrique is the founder of the Austin
chapter of MobileMonday and is a founding member of the Austin
Wireless Alliance and the Carnival of the
Mobilists . He was also the group leader of the Austin
Bootstrap Network’s Mobile Subgroup . Enrique sits on the advisory
board of Austin startup Edioma, the Steering Committee of the Austin Wireless
Alliance and the governance
