Description
|
| Option to have a single column display of attributes and segmentations
|
While in Tables and Workbooks, this feature will display attributes and segmentations only once when measures are placed within the columns that are nested with other dimensions. Reports are now easier to view.
|
| Chart Component Format Save
|
Formatting from an existing chart may be saved and then applied to another chart to easily create consistent chart formats. Newly applied features are quickly charted and seen.
|
| Batch Import of Excel Worksheets |
DA will import all worksheets in a selected Excel file during a data source creation or update. All worksheets must be of the same format (i.e. Download or Tabular). During a data source creation or update, more data is now gathered in less time. |
| Support for Tabular data format within the Excel Add-in |
When using the Excel Add-In to import data from DA components, the user
can change the data format to a tabular layout. This will allow the use
of Excel Filtering, PivotTables, and re-importing of data back into DA.
This feature combines the versatility of DA with current Excel features
to provide customizations that are interactive in nature. |
| “About Component” button |
By clicking on this button in Excel or PowerPoint, a summary of data
range information is displayed, providing easy access to information such
as name, page, project file, etc. |
| Product Restatement |
Similar to the Geography Restatement feature, this allows all Products
in a data source to be renamed following a data provider restatement. Revisions
to product names are quickly and easily “translated’ to the
current name. |
| Enhancements to the Data Import Wizard |
- Gain format control by manually selecting “Smart Bind” to
allow the Data Import Wizard to match data fields to the appropriate
DA dimension.
- DataAlchemy’s support for importing and aliasing Retail Link “WM
Time Periods” from Access databases allows users to seamlessly
import large datasets. By having no limits to the large datasets, more
data can be quickly recognized and understood.
- Easily select multiple fields for matching. Defining multiple fields
from your import file is now more efficient and easy to understand with
the use of this simple multiple field selection.
- Create Automated Tasks using the Data Import Wizard, saving time on report
runs.
- With the use of the new “Measure” tab, effortlessly rename
Measures before having them imported into DataAlchemy
|
| Easily migrate DataAlchemy from one machine to another with the assistance
of a dialogue box |
When starting DA on a system for the first time, a dialog box will prompt
the user to connect to and make any necessary data source upgrades on the
system. |
