Step 2 - Data Management
DataAlchemy allows users to either import existing segmentations or they can create their own
segmentation. It is easy to turn your raw UPC data into segmentations, making it simple
to design and build charts.
Step 3 - Build or Edit Components
DataAlchemy allows category managers to set up reporting templates by creating components. Here
you specify reporting structures based on product, geography, time and measure. The initial set-up of
the components only needs to be done once. When new data is imported, reports can be generated on the
fly because the calculation is already done for you. Now all tasks are automated.
Step 4 - Create and Send a Report Bundle to the Field
Dynamic PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets can be easily created and sent to sales,
business planners, partners and management. Simply follow the wizard to create a bundle
(a self-extracting file) and then either send it in an email or post it on your intranet.

End users can easily unbundle the DataAlchemy file and view interactive PowerPoint presentations
or Excel spreadsheets. No license is required to view these reports. Right click anywhere on the chart
and you will see dimension tree options. Here you can select the market segments or other dimensions and
the graph will re-draw to your desired view automatically.

data or sort on any aspect of the PowerPoint chart.
